SAP Warehouse and Customer Migration
G3 Global has been engaged by a global cleaning and hygiene products company to manage the SAP ECC5.0 system changes to support the move to a new 3rd party distributor and warehousing facility and the follow on migration of customers from UK to Ireland.
G3 consultants engaged the business, other 3rd parties, internal IT across the impacted business areas as follows:
Warehouse Move:
• Create new interfaces for transfer of data utilising SAP iDocs & ALE technology.
• Migration of material master data records.
• Migration of stock balances.
• Support of cut over from existing to new distributor.
Sales Order to Cash:
• SAP configuration & ABAP development to support the business process.
• Migration of customer master records.
Financial Reporting:
• Enhancements to support compliance with internal and external legal reporting.
• Reconciliation of migrated customer and stock values.
G3 consultants managed the technical changes, advised and supported system acceptance testing, provided training, documented the enhancements to facilitate knowledge transfer to the live system support team. The solutions included the facilitation of business change, program management including other 3rd parties and internal IT.
